The Bilge Pumps - Past Landings: Benefit Concert for Joe Porter 2015

San Leon, TX April 25, 2015

The Bilge Pumps lended our meager talents to entertain the people coming out to this benefit concert to raise funds to help pay for the medical bills of a long-time friend of faire, Joe Porter, a veteran diagnosed with sertoli cell carcinoma, a rare cancer. We were joined by our pirate brethren from TRF, the Pride O' Bedlam where we had a chance to not only watch their show, but do a combined set together performing songs we'd never done together. The results were predictable. All in all, a good time was had, and money for a good cause was raised.

The Pride O' Bedlam kicks things off with a set of their favorites. Can you believe they're actually missing one of their members here? That's a lot of pirates!	Maroon the Shantyman and Jack the Rum Runner revise the set list as Bedlam keeps performing songs off it.	After Bedlam finishes their set, they stay on stage to do a combined show with the Bilge Pumps, including a version of "Grey Funnel Line".
What's a combined set without some last minute changes as Admiral Drake from Bedlam gets recruited to be Pat Murphy for "The Night Pat Murphy Died"	Drake finds out what it's like to be the (ahem) butt of a joke.	Nuh uh, Drake. Being dead is no excuse to not sing along.

Oh yeah, and the Bilge Pumps performed, too. Seen here dancing along to "Pirating the Seas".
