The Bilge Pumps - Past Landings: Railean Rum Distillery 2015
San Leon, TX     May 23, 2015
Is there a better place for a pirate band to perform than a pirate-themed bar attached to a rum distillery? We don't think so.
That's why we returned to San Leon for a fun night of buccaneers and booze at the Railean Rum's Buccaneer Bar. They even built a larger stage to accommodate us larger than life pirate musicians.
We enjoyed performing some of our popular tunes and a smattering of new ones to a crowd that couldn't have been more primed for pirate fun.
We gotta make sure not to lose that map that shows how to get back.
Jack the Rum Runner cranks out the sound check before the show while the crowd gets a tour of the distillery
You gotta hand it to the Railean folks... they know how to entice a group of pirates!
Only four Bilge Pumps made the trip south, but they promised to drink enough to cover Sharkbait and John Crow's share.
The band cranks out "Nancy Whiskey" in a rum distillery. That's gotta be against the law.
With no Crow, Harvey identifies the nearest Pat Murphy in the audience to play dead.
It's Patricia Murphy... third child in the Murphy clan.
As the evening progressed, the crowd gets larger and drunker.
Flexibility it a requirement to be Pat Murphy in this show.
When the band cranks out a Jimmy Buffet cover, the dancers kick up their heels and get good their feels.
The band relaxes in the distillery's rum room with the owner. There's nothing like the after party!
Our thanks go to Dana Smith for the picture donations.
