The Bilge Pumps and the Musical Blades joined forces for the first time for Piratepalooza 2015, held at the Vanguard in Tulsa, OK. The Pumps and the Blades both did sets of their own, with the Blades performing their electric show, and then combined for a handful of songs to do together to wrap up the night. A raucous full house was on hand to see the show and us Bilge Pumps got to see some fans we hadn't seen since we stopped doing Muskogee in 2006. We were short two members (John and Jack), but we didn't let that stop us from rolling out some of our golden oldies and the occasional newbie as well.

Piratepalooza 2015 kicks off with a set from Jack Ketch and the Bilge Rat Bastards.

Maroon the Shantyman and Harvey the Corpsman argue over how to tune the tan tan.

Seamus, the MC for the night, gives a long-winded introduction for the Bilge Pumps, without remembering the name of the band.

The Pumps kick off their set with that ode to irresponsible drinking... Nancy Whiskey.

The Bilge Pumps recruit Captain Patch from the Musical Blades to be Patty Murphy for the Night Pat Murphy Died.

Sharkbait Simon the Scapegoat and Maroon try to add some melody to the proceedings.

Sharkbait and Maroon jam out during the Royal Oak.

Maroon and Harvey demonstrate the proper way to demonstrate a demonstration of cabin boy tryouts.

Harvey and Splice the Rigger get down and funky during Pirating the Seas.

We don't know what happened here, but we do know it was Maroon's fault.

The band cranks out a brand new original song, One More on a Dead Man's Chest.

Harvey drags up a pack o' pumpettes to mimic his crazy-ass dance moves during Johnny Jump Up.

Maroon and Sharkbait took their drunk pills and start staggering around the stage.

The Bilge Pumps get overwhelmed by the shouts of "MacIntyre" from the insane fans in the crowd.

The band soaks up the cheers after finishing up Old Dun Cow.

Harvey and the crew fire up that old pirate revival with Please Don't Take Me Down.

The Musical Blades take the headliner spot by the throat, cranking out "Bang Your Mug".

Once the Blades finish with their set, the Pumps and Blades combine for a few songs. Maroon and Patch decide who gets to sing lead.

Sharkbait Simon's guitar set up didn't come through, so he was forced to watch and sing during Barroom Blitz.

We don't think there were enough microphones in Tulsa for this many band members on stage.

The bands get together to pose with their combined super-fan, Cici, who has grown up listening to them and has no chance of a normal life now.

Our thanks go to Judi Pofahl for her picture and video donations and to Albert Hall for his video donations
