2010 was the Chinese year of the Pirate (I'm sure it's true, I read it on a bathroom stall) and the Bilge Pumps celebrated by doing less shows than ever before... if you want to call that celebration. We made up for it, though, by finally recording and releasing the oft-delayed Christmas CD, entitled "A Pirate's Christmas Wish". It was our first CD in almost 5 years and we worked hard on getting it just right, even building our own studio!

The band hit many of our usual haunts and even sprung a new one or two in just to make sure everyone's paying attention, though we did not perform at the Texas Renaissance Festival for the first time in a while. Nevertheless, you can't keep a good pirate band down since we took the time to record the new CD and raise some children to take over when we retire.
