A well known capstan and windlass shanty, "Donkey Riding" was sung as a crew unloaded cargo from the ship. The donkey the song refers to is a small deck windlass used to offload the cargo to the docks. In later years, it was steam powered instead of man powered. Since 2001, we started taking audience suggestions for city names to rhyme to, immortalizing the song in infamy for us. Recorded on Feb 1, 2014 at the Pirates on the Prairie III concert, this track was considered for inclusion on the Bail Money album, but didn't make it due to the poor recording quality and space considerations despite this being our favorite performance of the song.
