After a year's absence to go perform at Mardi Gras in New Orleans, we returned to Galveston just in time for the 1st weekend of Mardi Gras and... cold wind & rain? Yep, our newest Bilge Pump Sharkbait Simon got his initiation to the group by getting his guitar-picking fingers frozen to the strings of his guitar. This year's headliners included Dr. John and Blues Traveler. In spite of the weather, though, a fun-loving crowd was out to watch the show and help spur us on to new heights... and a couple of new lows as well.
The Bilge Pumps return to Galveston on the 21st and Strand stage, making sure to wear our warm weather gear.

Galleon O'Galleon goes out into the crowd to recruit new cabin boys.
Of course, before he can hire you, he needs to see how well you bend over.
Harvey brings up a whole back of new, unsuspecting recruits for "Cape Cod Girls". See what happens when you talk to pirates in bars, huh?!?!
Harvey teaches the youth of Galveston how to have rubber knees and no butt, just like him.
You know what happens when you stick your tongue to a cold steel pole, right? Well, Phil answers another question...
Poor Sharkbait Simon's first show with the Bilge Pumps turns out to be a frozen afternoon... and apparently, Galleon, Harvey, and John ate some bad chili.
Is Maroon getting asked a question by Galleon or is he getting polled?
Ah, "Linstead Market", the only song we've done to date where we've been bribed never to do it again. But, will that stop us? Mwah-ha-ha!
The "Welcome Aboard" lifesaver on Galleon's crotch wouldn't really be funny if it wasn't a clock stolen from the wall of a beach house.
That doesn't stop Harvey from trying to climb in, though.
