Muskogee, OK     May 6 - 29, 2006

The Bilge Pumps came back for their 7th tour of duty at Muskogee and it was definitely a year that will be remembered. We met some new friends at the Harbor Stage in Barely Balanced (though they never fell in the water, damnit!) and got a chance to be humbled (repeatedly) by Heather Alexander. hyuk hyuk. With Maroon having a family emergency at the end of the festival, the rest of the group was forced to go without him for the first time and find rhythm themselves for the last 4 days of the festival. Que lastima! All in all, we were glad to get a chance to hook up withour fans, because without you guys, we wouldn't have been there at all.

The Bilge Pumps return again to the stage that they (along with the rest of the '04 stunt show) built, looking for their booty.

The Bilge Pumps' groins go a little haywire during "The Gun Shanty".

Harvey and John Crow sit on the thrones of the royalty. Between these two old geesers, none of the rest of us ever get any throne time.

It's kids day again at ORF and that means there are only 4 Bilge Pumps and our audience is composed of Tahlequah drama kids!

Galleon goes pee pee on Harvey's pants. Shame it's not his Kwanzaa pants, since no one would notice.

Sharkbait gets surprised when Maroon springs a rarely played song on him and he has to break out his cheat sheets.

Maroon prepares to vibrate Galleon off the docks with his didjeridu.

Between Harvey and Monkey, the amount of pumpettes per show seems to grow and grow.

John Crow the Cook keeps a tight lip during Phil's singing. Makes you wonder what he's thinking.

These kids really know how to get low and limbo. 'Course it has nothing to do with their ability to bend backwards, they're just short.

The crowd gathers in awe (or was it awwwww?) to watch the Bilge Pumps strut their stuff.

Harvey gets all rubby-dubby on Galleon, who's forced to stand there and take it like a man.

The funk that radiates from this pirate band never ceases to amaze you. It's not always the smell I'm talking about, either.

Galleon was almost ready to take a dive in the water 'til he remembered it was full of snakes, dead cats, various toxins, and 3 years of jouster pee.

You can tell we built the Harbor Stage strong, because it's the only stage we performed "Johnny Jump Up" on this year we didn't break

Phil and Sharkbait pace around the stage trying to come up with a rhyme to wierd Oklahoma city names on "Donkey Riding".

Maroon welcomes the Galleon water fountain on the hot stage at Muskogee. It's either that or go into the water around the dock. (shudder)

John Crow takes advantage of Phil and Sharkbait's fragile state as choir boys.

She had a pen knife... three foot long!

Either the dock has just pitched to starboard or Galleon and Phil have turned into zombies and are about to eat Maroon.

Maroon tries to coax Galleon out of the shade where he hides from the sun like a little girl.

I hereby swear that I never saw that choir boy before and I don't know how that stain got there.

Maroon and Natty take a moment and watch the Barely Balanced show.

With Maroon gone the last 4 days of the festival, the guys were forced to go on without him. Looks like they managed to dig deep within themselves and survive.

Our thanks go to Mary Dossey, Donna Fagans, and Dawn Riden for the picture donations.
