Galveston, TX     February 27, 2022

After a year off due to COVID, the Bilge Pumps returned to the festival that kick-started us 23 years ago as we hit Jean Lafitte's old stomping grounds again for Mardi Gras Galveston. We did our usual attack on the Corona Extra Main Stage in Saengerfest Park, but in a new time slot earlier in the day. We found out that parades are much longer that time of day.

The Bilge Pumps hang their beads on the mics in preparation for the show.

Jack the Rum Runner works with the sound tech to get his new voice pedal working... sort of.

Due to John Crow's sudden sickness and Harvey's travels, the band was reduced to 4 for Mardi Gras, but they persevered.

The Old Black Rum
Maroon the Shantyman tries to lure people from the parade by singing about getting drunk on rum. Hey, it works in New Orleans.
