The Bilge Pumps - Past Landings: Louisiana Renaissance Festival 2020

Hammond, LA November 7 - 15, 2020

Year 20 of the Louisiana Renaissance Festival brought with it the challenges of COVID and all the changes that needed to take place to make the festival safe for everyone attending... and they pulled it off! The festival might have had limited attendance, but the paths were still fun and the shows were still a piratin'. Due to the circumstances, we elected to not do our Pirate Weekend Electric Show, but since no alcohol sales were allowed, it's just as well. Even the heartiest of pirates don't like staying late in the cold without booze.

The Bilge Pumps return to the Paradox Stage, where decency and common sense come to die.	Witness here one of the rarest occurances in the Bilge Pumps these days... an a capella song.	Fanny the Flagmaker and Jack the Rum Runner seem in good spirits. Must be pre-show.
Sure, they say the show is rated PG, but that's just because the sign wasn't big enough to rate it RRRRRRRRRRR.	Elizabeth the Stowaway starts the opening riff of Uptown Funk... at least in our heads.	Fanny breaks out her super warm hat on the cold Louisiana mornings.
Nothing warms you up faster than dancing to Johnny Jump Up.	Though sometimes and extra layer of clothing helps as well.	With no Splice around, the gang is forced to imporvise on Biddy McGrath.
The band pulls up a masked stunt reptile for Rippy the Gator.	Elizabeth and Jack rock out on some 80's rock during Old Dun Cow.	Harvey the Corpsman leads the pirate congregation through the collection plater offerings on Please Don't Take Me Down.
