The official pirates of Grand Prairie were back for the 9th Pirates on the Prairie Concert at the Uptown Theater.
This year, the band was joined onstage by D/FW's own Skeleton McKee.
Both band put on memorable sets and then combined for a third set featuring some of the catchiest songs to ever be played at the concert series.
A fun time was had by all at the final concert at the Uptown before the Corona-virus pandemic shut down the theater.
This year's stage turned out fabulous. Shame about the ship being broken in two, though.

Our Emcee Blackbead introduces Skeleton McKee to the Pirates on the Prairie audience.
They look like a right proper band. Bilge Pumps audiences aren't used to such things.
Funny how it didn't take much encouraging to get them to find and don pirate clothing for the show.
During the first intermission, Maroon passes out the door prizes to the unsuspecting ticket holders.
This year's concert cake towered above all the rest. Just don't touch it.
Blackbead cranks out another intro for the Bilge Pumps. Funny how he still has nice things to say about the band.
Finally, the Bilge Pumps take the stage with their classic 7-abreast formation that sound techs just love.
Maroon the Shantyman tries to manage the audience's expectations when breaking out the steel drum.
John Crow the Cook takes on all the drinking responsibilities during Isn't it Grand?
Fanny the Flagmaker has to use her hat so she can count all the people she wants to rob in the audience.
The prop budget got a hell of an upgrade for this performance of Rippy the Gator.
For the third set, both bands combine for a set full of surprises.
The sheer amount of cowbells for "Down on the Corner" was ear shattering.
All the musicians try to cram on the starboard side to avoid the insanity.
Thsi amount of strings on the stage makes you want to buy stock in Guitar Center.
The bands pay tribute to their pirate history with a little rendition of The House of the Rising Sun
After searching hard for a song that combines accordian and steel drum, we found one. Kokomo!
Our thanks go to Mark Jacobs for being the official photographer of the night.
