The Bilge Pumps rolled down the Hwy 49 river into Cajun country for year number 18 at the Louisiana Ren Fest. We were there for the first two weekends of the festival, including Pirates Weekend where we fired up our latest tradition of the Louisiana Electric Show on the Saturday night of Pirates Weekend when the rest of the festival shut down. We turned it up to eleven, and only 6 people were electrocuted this year.

So few Bilge Pumps made the weekend's trip that the backstage of The Paradox Pub had more stuff than the stage

Splice the Rigger waits oh so patiently for Harvey the Corpsman to finish the loooong warm up story for the crowd.

The band starts stacking up their bananas for comparison during Banana Boat Pirates.

Fanny the Flagmaker decides to stay out of the banana stacking contest... but she's weighing in nonetheless.

Jack the Rum Runner donates his only jacket to the cold lady in the 3rd row. He really is the worst pirate ever.

The steel drum stays out as the band cranks out the rarely performed Black Ball Line

Sometimes you can put that steel drum down. Harvey grabs some volunteers to dance with him on the Sailor's Hornpipe

It's Saturday night during Pirate's Weekend... time for the Electric Show!
