Lake Charles, LA     Saturday, May 11, 2019

The Bilge Pumps made their first trip to Lake Charles, LA to perform at Zephyr's, which is conveniently owned by a pirate, to anchor a pirate-themed pub crawl. The event was sponsored by the Louisiana Campaign for Tobacco-Free Living in their initiative to promote smoke-free restaurants and bars in the state. Though a crawfish boil diverted many of the pirate pub crawlers from reaching Zephyr's, we still cranked out the piratical tunes for all that made their way in.

Jack the Rum Runner's sister traveled all the way from California to man our merch booth for us.

We neglected to tell the bar staff that those shirts go on permanently.

John Crow the Cook helps Fanny the Flagmaker get her do rag properly do-ed.

The band takes the stage and completes the sound checks.

Then the band disappears in a puff of smoke to the bewilderment of the audience that arrived.
