Hammond, LA     November 3 - 11, 2018

The Bilge Pumps took on the Louisiana Festival yet again, but this year decided to concentrate the fun into two weekend instead of three. Sure, some may claim it's to avoid all the bagpipes that pop up on the festival's third weekend, but you didn't hear that from us. You might have read it, but you didn't hear it. We also continued our tradition of the after hours Bilge Pumps Electric Show on the Saturday of pirate weekend, and we even included bagpipes in our show there. See? We love bagpipes. Really. As long as they are filled with scotch.

The Paradox Pub stage backdrop finally materialized this year, so the band claimed the Starboard side to hang all their instruments on.

Ladies and Gentlemen, the new Pair-O-Docks Pub Stage!

Of course, it's not quite wide enough for us all to stand abreast, so Fanny the Flagmaker elected to head aft to make space.

We do not shy from using child labor to schlep our schtuff... even Voodoo Pirate Children.

Maroon the Shantyman heads down the path, trying to convince people to go uphill, to watch pirates, in a secret pub. It's not easy, we tell ya.

The morning sun blesses the new stage as the Bilge Pumps prepare to put fresh stains all over it.

You can always spot that exact moment when Maroon loses his gentlemanly veneer and starts thinking about looting the crowd.

Here is shown a rare moment of honesty as Splice the Rigger and Maroon pray for some talent to join the band.

Instead, they get this.

The crowd lifts their glasses in "salud" during Isn't it Grand

When the shruti box makes an appearance, it's time for Sharkbait Simon the Scapegoat to sing the Mermaid

Jack the Rum Runner and Sharkbait crank those guitars up to eleven and rock out

It's time for bros in bras as we tell the story of Biddy McGrath

Maroon is forced to down 7 shots of whatever random liquor the band got on the trip down during Seven Drunken Nights

The results are predictable.

It's Sunday Morning! Time for the No Request Show!

The rain started coming down, so the Bilge Pumps used the tent for the audience and pointed them to the other dock in the Pair-o-Docks Pub.

How long can Splice possible hold out against the power of the didjeridu?

Poor Billy came out to play in the swamp. Bad idea when we play Rippy the Gator.

For Saturday of Pirates Weekend, the band brought down their sound system for that night's Electric Show

Sharkbait decides to dance John Crow the Cook and Harvey the Corpsman right off the stage during the Gun Shanty

Uh... well... uh...

The O.G. Pumpettes are brought out on stage to dance during Johnny Jump Up

The band tries desparately to entice more noise from the crowd... to annoy the other pirate band performing by the lake.

The band was roped into singing the Bilge Pumps Birthday Song for one of the faire VIP's kids. Poor swab.

Harvey stops John Crow's shenanigans by gunpoint. It lasts for precisely 3.2 seconds.

As the audience raises their glasses in "salud", Maroon dives in to catch the overspill.

Shiver My Timbers
As the rain came pouring down, the band moved the audience under a tent and did a stripped down mud show.

Spanish Ladies (A Pirate's Tale)
The audience requested the song. The band requests that John Crow stop rubbing his butt on them.
