The Bilge Pumps - Past Landings: The Pirate's Cove 2017

Long Beach, CA Saturday, August 12

We can't make a trip to Cali without a stop at the Pirate's Cove in Shoreline Village so that we can spend some quality time with the locals, showing them important piratey things like: how to ride a tiny carousel, how to survive being microwaved by a steel drum, how to sing/shout over the sound of super loud boat engines, and how to devour cajun food. If you don't know these things, you'll never be a good pirate, so we only feel we were doing our civic duty.

We don't know for sure what happened right before this picture was taken, but we're pretty sure one of these two was peeing in the ocean.	Harvey the Corpsman's jealousy over Jack the Rum Runner's tall hat made him search out his own. Envious?	Harvey and Jack find a new lookout for the ship... who can double as a figurehead!
Maroon the Shantyman tries to find a way to play his steel drum where he's not completely blinded.	Harvey gathers up the West Coast Pumpettes to do come juking and jiving on "Johnny Jump Up".	After spending some time getting sunburnt on the dockside with the world's loudest motorboat, the band moves to the front of the store for an intimate concert.
