The Bilge Pumps - Past Landings: Texas Pirate Festival 2013

Hillsboro, TX June 1 - 2, 2013

Sure the weather it was hot and the air was dusty, but what else can you expect when your trusty frigate lands in the middle of a Texas prairie in June? We made up for it by raiding the pub for 4 shows/day and raiding the hot sauce vendor next door as well. Whaddya want? We want to make your eyes and nose, as well as your ears, bleed when you come to watch our shows. We had a good time hooking up again with our friends the Ladies of the Salty Kiss, Without a Net, and the Seadog Slam. Together, we make a helluva good time... now if we could only make a good show.

Harvey the Corpsman missed the first day of the festival, so the bilges were manned by four pumps only.	That never stops Splice the Rigger or Sharkbait Simon the Scapegoat from taking up his bad joke delivery.	In case anyone wonders what backstage of the Jack Tar Tavern looks like... here ya go..
John Crow the Cook managed to snag one of the balloon swords Fred Sparrow was making... and the rest of the band proceeded to strangle him with it.	Maroon the Shantyman and John Crow get all bassy during "Larry Marr".	And Splice and Sharkbait are totally taken in by the bass line. You can tell, right?
Oh, there's Harvey! All dressed up to the nines... and tens... and... he's getting close to 100.	The band plops down on benches and goes all lounge singer style on "Excursion Around the Bay".	While Maroon settles in to a long show of trying to keep John Crow in rhythm.
