Norman, OK     April 7 - 9, 2000

The Bilge Pumps sailed in on the prevailing winds and made anchor at the Medieval Faire in Norman, OK. We had good shows and crowds despite the allergy attacks which reduced many of the group's voices to gravelly bass. Luckily we're pirates and we can get away with that. Most of the group learned the value of good sunblock too, since they have great 'do rag tan lines! This festival was Crack the Quartermaster's last appearance with the band.

The Bilge Pumps perform the first day of the faire a couple of members and guitars short from their list. Don't let 'em fool ya, though, they're really just there for the sunburns.

Maroon blesses the stage and the audience while the Bilge Pumps break out the chorus of "Holy Ground".

Squeegy and Kailyn Dammit get into a bit of a scuffle after Kailyn screwed up the lyrics to Mrs. McGrath. Either that or Kailyn's giving Squeegy a spanking.

Megan, the pirate queen, poses with the tiara given to her by The Bilge Pumps.

The Bilge Pumps kidnap that princess of the realm and turn her into a pirate.

Crack stands next to E, not because he likes him, but because we all like to laugh at the size difference!

Squint and Maroon argue about what actually killed the 15 men on the dead man's chest.... Yo Ho Ho or a bottle of rum?

Maroon tries to stab Squint below decks with his cutlass as their argument heats up!

Crack goads on the crowd for that oh-so-much-fun-to-hear "MacIntyre" during our version of "Old Dun Cow!

The rest of The Bilge Pumps stand guard over the new pirate princess while Crack searches for the pirate queen.

When the pirate queen walks up to you and asks for tips with those eyes of hers, it's just not fair. Start breaking out those bills!!

The Bilge Pumps pose with their newly dubbed pirate queen, Megan.

Phil and Kailyn are either singing prettily or wondering who cut the cheese.

Maroon and Squeegy belt out the latest lyrics to the latest tune they've just forgotten the words to!

Crack's once again threatening to not pay anyone if they don't intoduce him properly. We all just laugh. har har....

Phil gets into singing lead while everyone else laughs at the cheesy lounge singer.

Squeegy and Crack ham it up during "Old Dun Cow".

Maroon flexes during a verse of "Pay Me" where Kailyn starts making up terrible lies about him!

Our thanks go to Donna Fagans, Lorna Fairchild for their picture donations.
