Galveston, TX     February 22, 2003

Warm weather graced the show for once at Mardi Gras as the Bilge Pumps started off 2003 performing at the biggest party in Texas opening up for bands like Kool and the Gang and 3 Dog Night. A fine way to kick off a year of debauchery!

Hello?... hello?

Things looked a little barren around the stage as The Bilge Pumps went through sound checks. Aw, who are we kidding? It was barren for the whole show!

Die, sucka!

What better way to take out our frustrations about the audience than choking Phil McGroin to death?

flying high

The Bilge Pumps' roger flies high over the stage... 'course, not as high as Budweiser does.

Cup o' cho?

Harvey and Maroon keep themselves warm before the show with a steaming cup o' hot chocolate... er... I mean rum.

Gruvin'

Squeegy takes his turn to get down and gruvin' on "Johnny Jump Up".

Yup, looks good

The Bilge Pumps survey their domain and realize the crew has deserted them for a coffee bar.

round and round she goes

After the show, the 'Pumps swung by the tall ship Elissa where they were performing sail training. Here we sing "Rollin' Down to Old Maui" to the poor souls on the capstan.

Shrinkage

Back at the beach house, Maroon and Squeegy make a dash for the freezin' cold Gulf of Mexico in February. Caution, cold water makes things smaller than they appear.
