With the weather holding nice for us, the allergens keeping it on the down low, our booth all set up, the sound (sort of) working, and everything being ready for a lovely three day weekend, all the Bilge Pumps had to worry about was getting the lyrics to their songs right... OK, so that didn't happen, but at least we managed to fake our way through it.
We had a blast getting back in touch with our Oklahoma fans and peddling our wares to the unexpected public who thought that jousting and turkey legs were all there was to see at a Medieval Fair. We got a chance to show off some of our new songs to a entranced (read: hypnotized) audience and even treat them to some stuff we didn't even know we remembered!
The Bilge Pumps return to the Medieval Fair of Norman for the 11th time!

The sun comes out strong in an attempt to blind the band from the actual number of people in the audience.
John Crow the Cook's eyes were burned out in a grease fire years ago, though, so the sun doesn't bother him.
Maroon the Shantyman has to clear out Sharkbait Simon's broken guitar string during "Ranzo Ray".
Harvey the Corpsman finds himself some lucky volunteers to do a little froo froo dance during "Cape Cod Girls".
Then he gets 'em to do the Tonto dance. Jump on it! Jump on it!
Maroon points out Tempest the Stormwatcher, who's out pimpin' our new Music Collection Flash Drive.
When Tempest was too swamped to help you out, you could always visit Fanny the Flagmaker at our Pirate Goods and Bait Shop.
Splice the Rigger slams John Crow's pizzle in the nearest rusty porthole.
The band lines up to do some jazzy "Johnny Jump Up" stuff.
When Maroon and Sharkbait aren't looking, the rest of the band gets up to some shenanigans during "The Night Pat Murphy Died".
Either Harvey's pointing out something exciting that John Crow's doing, or he just took care of Splice's runny allergy nose.
It's the final show of the festival and the Bilge Pumps brave the sun's glare to dish out one more batch of music madness to everyone remaining.
