The concept of this song started in Lutke's head back in 2009 when the band had 2 guitarists with the idea of a pirate's tale being told from 2 sides with alternating guitars/vocals. It fell by the wayside for years until 2015, when 2 guitars were back in the band.
Eberlen helped get the melodies Lutke recorded for years put into a coherent song that only kept getting longer.
