This song, written prior to 1900, was brought back to life in the 70's as folk artists found it in a book of English folk songs. Though there is no historical record of any events like the ones described in the song, its story resonates with sailors all around the world. We wrote and added choruses to the song where it had none previously, and combined a mash of varying guitar styles for it and made it our own.
