The Bilge Pumps - Past Landings: Oklahoma City Renaissance & Scottish Festival 2025

Oklahoma City, OK November 8 - 9, 2025

The Bilge Pumps returned to the Oklahoma Renaissance & Scottish Festival for the 4th time and, as usual, the weather remained very Oklahoma. Saturday was windy, but nice, however Sunday turned out the be wwwiiiiindy and not so nice. We persevered with our stage mates the Scallywags and the RhythMick Ramblers and put some fun shows for the local fauna.

With Fanny and Crow out sick and Sharkbait still recovering from surgery, we were reduced to only 4 Bilge Pumps for this year's show.	You can tell that the band is very heartfelt and earnest about the loss of members.	The Pirate stage lives up to its name as we take over the Scallywags' home away from home.
The lack of band members forces the rest of the band to get their act together and learn the songs in a whole new way.	The band brought their sound system out again for 2025 and that means much time is spent with sound checks.	Maroon's guitar went out in mid-set, so he was forced to use Ruby Pearl's guitar... complete with teeny tiny guitar strap.

When "Blow the Man Down" comes around, Maroon realizes all his usual tip collectors were gone, so he has to do it himself for the first time in years.
