The wind and weather were quite nautical in 2025's Medieval Fair. With cold rain and constant winds of 20+ mph, we (and the sound techs) were kept on our toes as we put on show after show.
We might have lost another tent to Norman weather (3 and counting), but the show went on. We refuse to be stopped by such things as natural disasters and Oklahoma Spring.
At least our section of the fair was high enough to avoid the flooding, so we performed for those frozen souls who escaped the deluge.
All 7 band members jump on stage... then promptly want to jump back off and find a heater.

It's so cold that Fanny the Flagmaker just shrunk right up and disappeared.

The cold, strong winds, and rain kept most sane people at home. This was a peak audience for Saturday.
|
Occasionally, though, the rain would go away long enough to do a song with stringed instruments.
|
The gusting wind would test the power of the Scottish drummer cloaks the band wore.
|
That doesn't stop Maroon the Shantyman from being one good gust away from being completely tangled.

Our thanks go to Alyssa Shade and her frozen fingers for the pictures.
