The Bilge Pumps made our 22nd appearance at the Medieval Fair of Norman and resurrected a tradition that had been subdued for years, moving to a new stage in the far corner of the grounds.
Sure, it was a long way from the main entrance on the South side of the festival and the thronging crowds, but the weather was nicer and they named the stage after us. What can we say, we are nothing if not suckers for an ego boost.
We also got to show up our newest members Ruby Pearl and Black Pearl in Norman for the first time and they were forced to do multiple "Old Dun Cow" performances, which made the rest of our black hearts shine.
The new 7 member lineup makes its debut appearance at the Medieval Fair.

The band occupied the newly renamed Bilge Pumps Muse Stage, set in its new location waaaay to the North of the festival.
The Oklahoma Spring wind wanted to greet them in their new digs as well as it threatened to blow away their gear.

Even when dead, John Crow the Cook can get a wee bit handsy.

The band directs everyone's attention to the merch booth just off stage.
Then they had to run over and hold on to the booth to keep it from flying into Kansas.
The new area of the festival also contained a pirate cove to help bring in the nautical minded types.
Splice the Rigger gets the audience dancing to the oldies... like the really oldies.
Maroon and Splice spend the pre-show warm up doing various character monologues.
One good thing about the new stage is that the band can make a quick getaway when the crowd inevitably turns against them.

This photo seems a bit stern.
