Our second year at the Pirate/Viking Summer Festival was enchanted by much nicer weather than the first time around and we used that good fortune to debut the newest lineup of the Bilge Pumps, featuring the first appearances of Ruby Pearl the Quartermaster and Black Pearl the Cannoneer!
We managed to keep the Vikings at bay with a liberal dose of gunpowder and rum and a good time was had by all... especially the coyote in the cage behind the stage.
The Bilge Pump debut their latest lineup, with 7 members, including the newest ones, Black Pearl and Ruby Pearl.
Maroon the Shantyman and Ruby Pearl the Quartermaster make sure everyone knows the words.
Though even adding Black Pearl the Cannoneer to the rhythm section can't put Crow back on beat again.
Splice the Rigger breaks out the rarely used shruti box for The Mermaid.
And Sharkbait Simon the Scapegoat gets to sing all about the deaths of sailors at the hands of bad luck.
John Crow the Cook has his banana all prepped and ready for the high altitudes.
Splice grabs some mountain hotties from the audience to dance with him on Cape Cod Girls.
Splice breaks out the puppets to help tell the sordid tale of Rippy the Gator.
Fanny the Flagmaker teaches Ruby Pearl the fine art of never looking to see what John Crow is doing at the edge of the stage.
Oh, never mind. He's out collecting tips! Good job Crow!
You gotta admit that the backstage view is nicer than any other stage on which we've performed.

Our thanks go to Wendy Hayes for the picture donations.
