Talk Like a Pirate Day is a comin' and nothing short of the piratocalypse will prevent the Bilge Pumps from rolling into Rockwall and performing at Chandler's Landing Marina for the holiday.

This will be our sixth straight year performing at the venue and we're gonna have more fun this year than greased ducks on a slip n slide. Count on some booze and food being served and your ear being tortured by the amplified music of your favorite pirate band. That's us, by the way.

The show will start around 5:00 and go 'til dusk, but be sure and get there early as seating is limited and you want to make sure you can get really, really close so we can assault more than just your senses of sight and hearing.

This fall it'll be time to pillage the village again as the Bilge Pumps roll south once again to the Texas coastline to attack the unsuspecting town of Surfside Beach. Not with swords and guns, mind you, but with off-key tunes for the patrons and cases of Deep Woods Off the mosquitos after dark

The only festival we perform at that's right on the beach is going to be new and improved for 2010 with better seating, shading, and music... well, maybe not music since they hired us again. We look forward to setting up both the Bilge Pumps shop and the Liberty Cuffs pirate goods shop to suck the money out of those souls looking for entertainment and sending them home with piles of our booty.

Can you believe it? The Bilge Pumps performing at another local festival? It's true! After desiring a hookup for the last 2 years, the Bilge Pumps and Pirate Days are finally going to go out on a date... for 2 whole days!

We're going to be rolling into the Colony on the shores of Lake Lewisville to take on the pirate festival that's in our very own metroplex. We're looking forward to spreading our bilgy musk around the site as we bellow loudly and badly enough to bring up fishes from the depths of the lake and cause them to land on the shores behind us. That way we'll have some food around in case E the Bosun ever comes back into town.

Just when you thought we were always going to be one weekend wonders in the land of boudin, the Bilge Pumps are will be a provin' ya wrong. We're two weekend wonders!

For the first time since 2006, we'll be doing multiple weekends at one of the festivals that we've been with since the beginning... and we're happy about it, too. We'll be performing on the first two weekends of the festival so that we set the entertainment bar so low, the acts on following weekends should have an easy time of it.

So get some gumbo in the pot and put your booty on the front porch so we can poach it like a gator and stay tuned for more details as we get 'em.

Christmas will be in the air just the way it was in the days of Queen Victoria and the ways of Charles Dickens and the Bilge Pumps are prepared to bring our own dose of humbug to the Strand.

We'll be capping off our performance year with a dash of Christmas madness and some ear-splitting sadness as we warble our tunes and avoid arrest from the coppers. This year it will include a healthy dose of Christmas songs from our upcoming Christmas CD, so we might even have an entire show or two dedicated to just those tunes.
