The Briny Band the Bilge Pumps     (Lyrics by Lee Agnew)

The Bilge Pumps are a band, me boys, that travel to the Fair
They sing of truth and booty with their salty pirate flair
Maroon will write the set list; the crew will fall in line
The Fair is back in town; we'll get Medieval one more time!

Chorus
So it's cheer up, me lads; let your lassies beware...
When that briny band of Bilge Pumps go singin' for the Fair!

The young girls gather 'round the stage like lassies on the quay
They're singing "Johnny Jump Up" with delighted squeals of glee
They're shouting "Macintyre!" in a voice to wake the dead
And then they ride the donkey all the way to Peterhead!

Chorus

So here's a health to Arabesque, the Emerald Flamers too
A toast to old Queen's Gambit, and to Tullamore their due
When all the fine musicians go to play before the King
The patrons stay behind to hear those salty pirates sing!

Chorus

And when the Fair is over and it's time for all to leave
The pirates hit the town and look for one more ho' to heave (yeah right)
They might not party hearty as they did ten years ago
But when the Fair comes round again, they're good for one more show!

Chorus
